Can't answer your question, yet it sounds very similar to my DexCom which I've had for almost a year and they are a fantastic tool!

Can anyone offer any insight as to why it is taking so long? Rumors, gossip, etc would be much appreciated.
There are a couple of posts that it will be the device of choice for the OmniPod. (At Pumpers.com).
What about DelTec? They already have a relationship with Abbott and have been boosting the Freestyle in their sales media.
Any investigational study personnel out there who would be willing to spill the beans?
Is it worth waiting for?

I am also waiting for when the Abbott Navigator gets approved for the US. I will get it immediately. I have been on the MiniMed 722 for just over a year. And the CGMS portion of it that I bought with the pump did not arrive until 3 months later. I was not told of the backorder delay when I purchased it. Then when I did get it and started using it, it was not accurate. Like 100 points off at times. I used half of the initial shipment of sensors and stopped. They lost my CGMS business for not being able to support a product release with enough sensors. I read they still have supply problems. Incompetence. But more important is that the thing is not accurate. It is marginally useful but I want a unit that tells me what my blood glucose is not guess at it. Waiting on the Navigator.
Did you get the navigator monitor you waited on? If so, how do you like it?

No I did not get the Freestyle Navigator yet. I am out of work right now so am very short cash. Once I get fully employed again I will pursue it. But, I did try another Minimed CGMS sensor again a couple months ago. I still feel the accuracy is way way off for me and all it accomplished was aggravating me. The rechargeable transmitter is the small clam shell looking one but now that it is over a 1.5 years old it is supposed to go dead they say and be junk anyway. I'll get the Navigator eventually.
I am starting my third week with FreeStyle Navigator and would like to compare experiences with other users. I finally got some training sessions set up to learn more on how to tweak it and use the software to analyze all the data it can generate. So far my initial adjustments have allowed me to get rid of the frequent lows I was having but didn't know about. My highs are NOT going as high as before but still are going higher than I like to have so more adjustments are needed. I figure my diabetic educator and I will be able to make some necessary adjustments after we complete training next week.
