Hi folks. It's been years since I've posted and I can't believe I remembered my username and password. lol
I was diagnosed with T1 in early 1966 at the age of 2 1/2. In about 1977 I was diagnosed with protein in my urine and went on dialysis in 2001. In '02 my cousin gave me a kidney (wow!) and in '08 I had a pancreas transplant. I've been insulin free since April 27th 2008. It was a rough ride and I certainly wouldn't recommend the pancreas unless you already need a kidney, but it's been pretty cool too. I still test a fair amount, but nothing like when I did when I was on a pump.
