I've posted a comparison video between the new Dexcom Open Choice continuous glucose monitoring system and the older Dexcom SEVEN on my blog. It's also available on YouTube.

It's a small change, but I think it'll make the Dexcom system more useful for many folks. No more lugging around a second meter or that 6-foot cable!

Follow the link to see Dexcom Open Choice (http://www.bernardfarrell.com/blog/2008/04/dexcom-open-choice.htm) video and my thoughts.

Has anyone tried this out? Let me know what you think of the new Dexcom

I waited until last month to upgrade so I who have the multi-meter capability and not have to deal with packing an extra meter and the cable. I like having the meter attached to my Deltec for the reason of carrying less "stuff".
It is surprising when I enter a meter value which differs from the Dex, the Dex doesn't jump it's plot line to the input but carries on till the two readings match again and are in sync once more.
