Any diabetic can eat any foods as long as they take the right amount of insulin at the right time for the foods they eat. Sugary foods should not be the food of choice because they spike your bs too fast as do starchy foods (potatoes raise bs quickly). For type 2 diabetics, food control is more important as far as I'm concerned because type 1 diabetics should alter their insulins to accomodate their food, not the other way around.
