I have never heard of this. The thing is that I do know quite a bit, so I doubt that there are a lot of other folks that have heard of it either.

Where did you hear/read it. Can you supply a link?

One more thing.

Any diagnosis of diabetes (T1 or T2) involves testing blood sugar. Fasting tests, post prandial tests, glucose tolerance tests, and hemoglobin a1c tests. Insulin production can also be measured using a c-peptide test where high insulin production will mean insulin resistance and low or no production can mean type 1 diabetes.

As far as I know, salivary enzymes are produced in response to food, the smell of food, and sometimes even the thought of food. But that is it.

Cora Recent studies shows that salivary enzymes is also useful to diagnosis type 2 diabetes.

That's interesting, but it is not conclusive - you'll still have to have blood sugar testing done.

CoraYes, but in the future the saliva is used to diagnose the type 2 diabetes. Moreover, it's an easier way to diagnose diabetes in older people.

Thanks for your all responses. The salivary enzymes present in the saliva is now used to diagnose the type 2 diabetes. The research has proven that.
