Hello.
I am a type 1 diabetic and I have been a "pumper" for ~10 years. Each time I need to buy a new pump I get very irritated at the cost (that I must pay 20% of) for these simple devices based on 20 year old technology. Since I am also a medical device engineer, I have decided to try to change this market.
I am designing an insulin pump. As with all designs, trade-offs must be made. I know how I want to value pump characteristics, but I would also like to learn the opinions of other pump users.
If you would be willing to share your thoughts with me, please send a message to Kerry.Ober@cox.net. I will send you a form you can use to rank what is most important to you. Or you can just send me a ranked list of your own.
Thank you in advance for your help and ideas!
