Forgot to mention that the insulin cooling wallet was a life saver when I went on holiday. It kept my insulin cool for about a week with out the need of a fridge.

Which Wallet did you get and have you had problems with the heat before? I am using a pump and work in some Hot attics where my insulin would "die" my doc had me change insulins and I haven't had that problem for a year, this summer will will be test year 2.

I used to carry my pens around in a 2-pen frio in summer, and it was a bit bulky but it always kept the pens slightly cooler than room temperature even on the hottest days. But since going onto a pump I don't carry a pen any more, so my frio now sits dry as a bone in the back of my D-drawer. Maybe I'll donate it to some Type 1 newbie...
In the car I have a mini 12volt fridge, six-pack size. I use it to bring home my insulin prescriptions, and I've used it to keep my insulin supply cool on family holidays because it's colder than the frio and (more importantly) it doubles as an armrest when driving ;-)
