Hello, I saw most of the posts in this forum. Amazing, I didn't think there were other diabetics that did the same thing I did. LOL
I've had type one since age 4. I've had it for 45 years. Bad control growing up. horrible control during teen years. I have two successful pregnancys and am now a grandma! I have thought about a pump for a while but the price keeps putting me off. I had a heart attack at 32... so I'm on like a ton of pills for this and that. I don't tell a lot of people about my medical issues. I don't want to be one of those that people say "Lord, here she comes, hide" lol
I do get annoyed some times when people that are older than me with type I diabetes sit there and go on and on about their problem "oh yes, honey ,I've had this for 20 years now... you just don't know what its like"
Ya whatever! Told one person as I was walking away "so what I've been jabbing my self for 45 years now" I don't want anyone to know my age LOL!!! so I don't comment.
It was nice finding this site. I hope I will be able to connect with some of you out there.
