Orbit 90 Updates

ICU Medical recently purchased the assets of Simple Choice brand infusion sets. ICU is in the process of evaluating the marketability of the product line and improving these products. The improved products will be marketed under the Orbit brand name. The Twist and Easy sets are now discontinued but free samples of Orbit products are available for former Simple Choice customers.

ICU will consider replacing end user supplies of Simple Choice infusion sets with Orbit 90 on a case by case basis. They ask that you have your distributor contact them or you can contact them directly at Kramey at icumed.com or ICU Customer Service at 800-824-7890

ICU is working on improving their Orbit 90 infusion set as well. It is now compatible with the Quickserter automatic insertion device. Starting July 15th, Orbit 90 will have a larger view window to allow the user to check the site penetration point. Also, Orbit 90 now has Medtronic compatibility via three options:

1. A connector which is compatible with Medtronic 700 series pumps and syringes
2. A syringe to fit Medtronic 700 series pumps which has a standard lure connector.
3. An adaptor which has a Medtronic 700 series compatible connector on one side and a standard male luer connector on the other. This will allow the end user to use almost any set they choose.
